Electric traction winch for pulling a 15,000 lb wagon

Objective :
Provide an electric winch to pull 6 tank cars with a total weight of 370 tonnes in a railway application.

Cable Deflection Roller for Winch

Customer :
Trouw Nutrition – Saint-Hyacinthe, QC

Objective :
Add a deflection roller to keep the wagon hauling winch cable centered on the drum. The customer was experiencing premature cable wear because the cable axis was not aligned with the center of the drum when the wagons were being pulled. Capital Winch took charge of taking on-site measurements, managing the civil engineering mandate for the addition of the foundation, and designing and manufacturing a guide roller with a capacity of 12 tonnes.
