Hydroelectric dam trash rack winch

Objective :
Supply a winch for the trash rack of a hydroelectric dam located along the St. Lawrence River in Longueuil. The winch is used to clean the screen downstream of the dam. It operates continuously to cut and remove algae that clog the screen.

Specifications:

  • Electric double-drum winch – 11,000 lb capacity
  • Loose cable detector and overload limiter
  • Winding capacity: 2 × 130 feet of 7/16" cable

Electric winch for lifting the cofferdam gate

Jules-Allard Dam, Saint-Joseph-de-Coleraine, QC

Objective :
Provide a winch for lifting the cofferdam gate at the Jules-Allard dam. The winch is equipped with wheels, one of which has a telescopic foot, allowing the equipment to be easily moved and stored indoors when not in use.
