25,000 lb Hydraulic Winch

Ocean Group, North Shore (QC)
Company specializing in port towing, shipbuilding and dredging of waterways .

Objective :
To supply a hydraulic winch with a petrol-powered unit to pull a ferry to the shore . Using a pulley block system , the winch's pulling capacity is multiplied by 4 , allowing it to reach 40 tonnes .

Specifications:

  • First layer capacity: 25,000 lb
  • 4th layer capacity: 18,137 lb
  • Frequency: 30 cycles per minute
  • Drum capacity: 520 feet of 7/8" cable
